2020 marked the 10th anniversary for the FNHDA. This timeline spotlights major milestones along this journey.

2008

Inaugural First Nations Health Directors Forum held — two years prior to the formal registration of the FNHDA.

2011

Honouring Celebration at inaugural FNHDA AGM and Conference. Designed to support and encourage personal wellbeing, the ceremony recognized all 67 First Nations Health Directors and is the foundation for our annual Inspiration Awards.

2012

FNHA-FNHC-FNHDA Relationship Agreement signed, acknowledging the roles, responsibilities and mutual accountabilities for ech partner to advance health care transformation for First Nations in BC.

2015

Head to Heart campaign launched for Health Directors with website and tools featuring mental health and wellness resources for self-care and mutural support.

2017

Declaration of Commitment: Lateral Kindness jointly signed by the FNHDA and its governance partners, the FNHC and FNHA.
