A Path Forward

May 31st, 2013

Greetings members of the First Nations Health Directors Association:

You are invited to an exclusive video-conference planning session on Friday, June 14th from 10-11:30 am to help plan, set goals and outcomes for future mental wellness and substance use regional forums for your communities.

Following the release of “A Path Forward” on March 19, 2013, the First Nations Health Authority is organizing a series of regional forums on mental wellness and substance use in Summer and Fall 2013. The FNHA recently held five regional planning video-conferences in April 2013 to gather input from First Nations communities about the regional forums.

Now, the FNHA would like to hear directly from you, the Health Directors/Leads, about your unique perspective on mental wellness and substance use in order to help plan the most meaningful and beneficial forums for your communities. You do not have to be an expert on mental wellness and substance use to participate in this planning session. Your feedback is very important!

At this June 14th video-conference planning session, the FNHA would like to hear what Health Directors/Leads have to say about:

·         what does a successful regional forum look like to communities?

·         Which topics or issues could we focus on?

·         Which key stakeholders could be involved?

·         Which promising or successful programs could we showcase?

How to Participate:

Please contact Blake Stitilis (bstitilis@fnhc.ca) and he will forward details to access the video-conference session.
